Board Members
Brandi Glasscock is a lifelong resident of Greene County. She has been married to David Glasscock since 1996. Since 2013, she has served as a Community Work Incentives Coordinator with the Tennessee Disability Coalition, where she supports individuals with disabilities in navigating employment and benefits systems. In addition to her nonprofit work, Brandi is a dedicated entrepreneur and the owner of two local businesses: The Mane Brand Hair Company and Buddy’s Emporium. She currently serves on the board of AidNet of Greene County and has previously served on the advisory board of the Tennessee Division of Rehabilitation Services and the Board of the Eastern 8 Community Development Corporation. She has a strong commitment to community advocacy and empowerment.
Brandi Glasscock - President
A fifth generation Greene Countian, Becky Hope Mallory is a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Most recently she served as the Co-coordinator of the Trinity Pantry which provided aid to our local and neighboring flood victims. She and her husband, Steve Mallory are presently working with Trinity’s Table feeding our friends in need on Tuesdays. She was an Art teacher in the Greeneville City Schools, Johnson City Schools, as well as teaching Adjunct classes at ETSU and Tusculum University. After her retirement, she has spent her days perfecting her skills as a fiber artist. She and Steve moved back to the family farm and are happily growing dye plants, flowers, and vegetables. She has two daughters, Holly Hope (Wes), Kelly Grieb (Jacob), a step son Jordan Mallory (Rachel) and four amazing grandchildren.
Becky Mallory - Vice President
Christine has lived in Greeneville for the last 18 years. She is married to Ken Jackson and has two amazing daughters, Anna and Jamie. She graduated from ETSU in 1995 with her BBA in Accounting and in 1998 with her Masters Degree in Accountancy. Prior to moving back to Greeneville, she worked in public and private accounting in Chattanooga and Knoxville. Christine then took some time off to raise her daughters. Since returning to the workforce, she has worked for Greene County Schools as a Coordinated School Health Assistant and is currently working at Chuckey Doak Middle School as the bookkeeper. She found her passion for serving while working with the Greene County Family Resource Center.
Christina Jackson - Treasurer
Mike Sauls is currently the pastor of Reformation Lutheran Church. He has been in the ministry for eleven years. Prior to his time in the ministry, he retired from the Greeneville Police Department after thirty years of service with the rank of Captain. Mike is a graduate of East Tennessee State University, with a BS in 1990 and a MA in 1995. He is also a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy, Session 164. Mike is also a graduate of Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, 2017. Mike is married to Frances, nee Linebarger. They have two grown children and one grandchild. Mike currently serves on the YMCA board and is a member of The Greeneville/Greene County Ministerial Association. In the past, he has served on the Boys and Girls Club board, the Opportunity House Board, and other community organizations.

Debbie Goode resides in Greeneville with her husband of 47 years, John Goode. They have two children, Will Goode and Lindsay Goode, and four grandsons. Debbie attends Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Greeneville and currently serves as the chairperson of the Nurture/Membership Committee, the PPR committee, and is the High School Sunday School teacher. She also served in leadership of the United Methodist Youth Fellowship for many years with the Holston Conference and served at Resurrection as a volunteer for twelve years. She is a member of the Mt. Pleasant Ruritan Club. Debbie has been employed with Restaurant Management Group (RMG, dba) for the past 38 years and currently serves as the District Manager for Little Caesars Pizza. Debbie has been named District Manager of the Year Nine years. Debbie enjoys working with organizations who are mission minded and willing to lend a hand.
Debbie Goode - Board Member
Now retired, Marcia Parsons served 27 years as a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the last eight years as chief judge. She has been active in her community, with her activities including Greene County Heritage Trust (president and board member), Greeneville Schools in Action for GHS and GMS (president) and YMCA Board of Directors. She is also active in her church, Asbury United Methodist Church in Greeneville, where she has taught a women’s Sunday School class for over 15 years and has led a number of its programs and ministries, including its benevolence ministry, child enrichment center and board of trustees. One of her favorite Bible verses is Proverbs 3:27, “Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due when it’s in your power to help them.” Marcia and her husband Steve, a retired law professor, are the parents of two adult children and grandparents of three children.

Rev. Sonya Solomon is a native Greene Countian who has been blessed to have grown up in this area and cannot imagine living anywhere else. Her love for the people, the county, and a heart for serving are what made becoming part of My Neighbor’s House so easy. Through her work as a teacher in Greene County for thirty years, she is aware of the wide spectrum of needs and challenges that students and their families face in a daily basis-needs that range from basic necessities to emotional and spiritual needs. It is her desire to be able to help match those needs to available resources in our community through her work with the folks at My Neighbor’s House. Pastor Sonya is the pastor of Solomon Lutheran Church in the South Greene area of Greene County where she has served for the past three years alongside her husband Tim, who serves as the church music’s music director. Together, they live on their family farm in the South Greene community.

Rev. Sarah Varnell currently serves as the pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church. She grew up in Johnson City, TN where her parents still reside. In 2005, Rev. Varnell graduated from Emory & Henry College with a double major in Political Science and Religion and in 2008 she completed a Master of Divinity degree from Duke University. She is a proud blue devil during March Madness! As a clergyperson, Rev. Varnell is active in the District and Conference, specifically as a member of the District Board of Ordained Ministry, the Resurrection Design Team, and the Camp and Retreat Ministries Board.
Rev. Varnell is happily married to Mr. Daniel Varnell who is the Director of the Choral Program at Greeneville High School. The Varnells are the proud parents of three lovely young daughters.
Sarah Varnell - Board Member
Russell has lived in Greene County for most of his life including the last 40 years. He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a BS in Computer Science and is the Controller at DS Smith Packaging-Greeneville, serving in that role for the last 27 years. Russell is one of the founding members and an Elder at Disciples Point Community Church. He also serves on the board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Greene County. He and his wife Kellye have two aughters, Ashley (Brandon) Taylor and Aly (Tra) Haney. They are also blessed with seven grandchildren. Aside from time with family, Russell loves serving others. He has served locally and abroad (Mexico and Guatemala) through his home church and community organizations.
